Resetting/Relaying Masonry

Resetting/Relaying Masonry is performed when the masonry begins to crack, bow, ball or become stressed. To fix this problem the masonry is cut out and if it is able to be saved, it is cleaned and relayed correctly. If the masonry is not able to be saved new masonry is matched to the old and is used to replace the old masonry.

When should you Reset/Relay Masonry?
  • When the masonry appears to have excessive cracking
  • When the masonry's mortar becomes soft and deteriorated
  • When the masonry wall becomes bowed, balled or stressed
